If you apply one week’s shiur in life it’s a huge improvement, whatever you can take on from a shiur please do. We Have to Make Weekly Improvements when it comes to our character Traits.
“Shimon his son [the son of Rabban Gamliel of the previous mishna said: All my life I have been raised among the Sages, and I have not found anything better for oneself than silence. Study is not the primary thing but action. Whoever talks excessively brings about sin.”
if you dissect each and every mishna it’s not like an atomic bomb but like a death star which will change you life. Listening is half the battle we have to apply. IF you are surrounded by smart people most likely you are likely to succeed. if you are surrounded by Wicked people most likely you are going to be like them. There is a good silence and there is a bad silence. Not Once did Avraham Avinu debate With HaShem during Akeda Yitzhak, What We can learn is to keep quiet when it’s necessary.
A Goy who keeps Shabbat gets Heavenly Death Penalty, as they not converting to Judaism and keeping shabbat is like creating a new religion and HaShem Has Said that Shabbat is covenant between him and the Jewish Nation.
Couple of Rabbi have become new Rashi and are saying that Ger is allowed to keep Shabbat, Shabbat is the covenant between you and me ( me meaning the Jews). How Did Avraham Avinu , yitzhak Avinu and Yakoov avinu keep shabbat as per Sefer Yetzira: .. Avraham would break the shabbat by creating a cow or creating a sheep
Avraham Avinu knew when to keep Quiet.. sometime Quiet is good sometimes it’s horrible.. if you see someone who is mechalel shabbat and if we did not rebuke shabbat then it’s not kosher quiet you have to rebuke them. WHen someone is upset either it goes away or it becomes an argument. In book of Job.. Job never complained.
2000 Years a go in gemara it was already written that the world is a sphere.. Job is saying that sphere has to be in perfect position if it deviates somewhat the whole world is destroyed. So chazal says here we learn the significance during the time of Arguement that when we r quiet the argument dies as we did not contribute. The world is standing on the merit of the people who are quiet during an argument. WHen u fullfil the will of HaSHem we should be proud of yourself. Anyone who has meaningless conversation is like making a sin. Even while we are talking we have to watch your words.
Rambam says one has to speak only when needs to increase our wisdom. When we speak useless talk, it takes away from our life. There is a time to be quiet and when we speak we have to be careful and measured, there are few different kind of quiet.
some akshenaz piskim have said some wigs are allowed and people have twisted it, even in Sephardic world Rav Zion Aba shall ztl had said it’s only allowed in house only when the husband has to recite kryat Shema.t his was asked by Rabbi Idon Ben Mose and it’s written in book by Rabbi Efraim Kachlon . 85 poskim says. It’s not allowed at all. The main reason 99.999% all wigs come from India and China, people as Korban to their false idols. There is no such thing as kosher wig.
Debating with people who don’t want to change is a complete waste of time if that person does not want to know esh emet
When u get to a point when there is no need to talk and without talking the person understands. This happens when the relationship is perfect, If you want to have happy marriage constantly compliment your wife .
Silence can be dangerous or beneficial… Esav knew Entire Torah and yet in the Torah it’s mentioned HaShem Hated him as he knew the truth but he did not rebuke people who were going against the words of Torah.
