MUSSAR Pirkei Avot (14) The Secret To Staying Righteous In The Business World
When someone is seriously about Avodat HaShem there is no limit one can change ones middot, in matter of months people can turn from nothing to something Big, When it comes to some project our responsibility is to do , rest is all upto HaShem. When i was Secular i heard Johnny Depp , he was asked if he watched his movies and he said he did not and he said none of my business, but even the Goyim can have divrei chochmah, in reality in life outcome of all projects is in not our business, it’s in HaShem’s Hands.
“Rabbi Chananya ben (son of) Akashya said: The Holy One, blessed be He, wanted to give Israel merit; therefore He gave them Torah and mitzvos (commandments) in abundance, as it is written: ‘G-d wanted, for its [Israel’s] righteousness, to make the Torah great and mighty’
Sometimes the treasure is in right in front of you we need to realize. HaShem created us to give us good, but there has to be system of justice and we need to earn it. Tarat Mischpacha Family purity is very important..Everytime we do a mitzvot we connect to HaShem. When we do the mitzvots after learning the meaning behind it .. Each time we do mitzvah it’s an oppotunity to connect to HaShem. When we do Teshuva eachtime we connect to HaShem in a different way.. There is yetzer hara convinces us to think opposite what we are supposed to do. 2 types of yetzer hara.. one yetzer hars is always there everyday.. and other Yetzer hara is like atomic bomb which causes major distractions… do Kiryat shema, Learn Torah ( everyone should have some kind of sefer with us all the time ) Remind one self of the day one is going to die. Death is like a transition from world of lies to world of truth.
Rabbi Resh Lakish says in Gemara, fear of G-d is in storehouse, it means even if one studies all the Torah but if he has not Yirat Shemayim it’s meaningless. Without Yirat Shamayim it does not mean anything. Why does people avoid teaching about yirat Shamayim, which is foundation of Mussar and it takes guts to teach Mussar. The way to over come big atomic Yetzer hara to think about the day we are going to die as we are forced to have yirat shamayim.
Rabban Gamliel the son of Rebbi Yehuda hanasi said: Good is Torah study together with a worldly occupation, for the exertion in both makes one forget sin.. We have to continue learning Torah. Everything that is good is in Torah. Want motivation learn Torah, Look at the life of Moshe Rabienu. Even The Tefila of a Rasha we need to be scared of . If we want to be a talmid chacham we need to teach Torah too.
according to Rambam someone who helps people do teshuva , teach Torah is like kodesh kodeshim, the community is obligated to finance the talmid chacham. if you combine Torah study with work you make the sin forgotten. One of the reasons HaShem’s give us many mitzvots it’s for our benefit, why? we will be so busy them we will not try to sin. We need to be busy doing stuff. Shlomo hamelech has said boredom leads to sin.
Keep oneself busy with Torah. Rambam says someone who makes sins with sex crime as only because has mind empty. All Torah study without work will result in waste and will cause sinfulness.
Red Strings is more likely to be connected to Idol worship. We all are obligated to do KIRUV on a regular basis.
