Did G-od abandoned me? sometimes I feel G-od is not with me to help

As a result of a sin one does, it creates this gap between us and G-od. As a result it feels like G-od abandoned us or is not listening or helping. this is only because we moved ourselves away from G-od and all we need to do is get closer again
